The Interim Town Lawyer -- Resigned

Representation for the City of Crystal River

"In recent weeks, Joanne Bartell, wife of county Commissioner Gary Bartell and a civic activist in her own right, has engaged in a tug-of-war with City Attorney David LaCroix over access to public records relating to the project. The frustration has reached the point where Bartell has asked the state Attorney General's Office to get involved as a mediator."

Councilwoman Ciallella -- Resigned

From the Town of Yankeetown,
February 27, 2006

POST OFFICE BOX 280 - YANKEETOWN. FLORIDA 3 TELEPHONE (352 FAX (352.

To:
Helen Ciallella

Dear Helen

It is with great regret that I write this letter of request. First I want to thank you for the abundant time, effort and energy you have so unselfishly given to the Town of Yankeetown, As an honorable member of the current Town Council you have always been ready to assist. The attributes you have brought have far exceeded past expectations, it will not be an easy task to replace the qUalities you brought to the Town and for that I thank you.

However, this letter is to request your consideration for your resignation from the Town Council. As you are aware it appears matters coming before the board would require you to recluse yourself from a vote or votes that couId be of the utniost of importance to the Town of Yankeetown. As you aware, Agenda items have existed on numerous occasions that are decided upon by one vote.,' '

I feel it would be in the best interest of the Town of YaIikeetown for you to timely 'submit a letter of resignation in an appropriate manor to allow council the opportunity to accept and the process set forth by the Town of Yankeetown to replace your seat.

Thank you in advance for your consideration to this request as time is of the essence in this matter. ' .
